1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VidContext ("the Service"), operated by Skylift Marketing ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
VidContext is a video intelligence API that processes uploaded video files and returns structured text analysis. The Service is available through a web interface at www.vidcontext.com and a REST API at api.vidcontext.com.
3. Accounts and Access
- Anonymous access: You may use the Service without an account for up to 5 video analyses. Anonymous usage is tracked by IP address.
- Registered accounts: Creating an account requires a valid email address and password. You receive 15 credits on signup. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- API keys: Developer API keys are available to users who have purchased at least one credit pack. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. Do not share keys publicly or embed them in client-side code.
4. Credits and Payments
- Credits are consumed based on video duration: 1 credit per minute of video, rounded up.
- Credit packs are available for purchase through our payment provider (LemonSqueezy). All purchases are final. Credits do not expire.
- If video processing fails after credits are deducted, credits are automatically refunded.
- Free credits (signup bonus) cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.
- We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Existing purchased credits remain valid regardless of price changes.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
- Upload content that exploits minors in any way
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or credit requirements
- Use automated tools to create multiple accounts or abuse free tier limits
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use the Service to build a competing product that replicates our core functionality
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute API access without written permission
- Intentionally overload the Service with excessive requests or large files
6. Video Content and Processing
- You retain all rights to the videos you upload. By uploading, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process the video solely for the purpose of generating your analysis.
- Videos are deleted immediately after processing. We do not store, archive, or retain your video files beyond the processing window.
- The text output (analysis results) is stored temporarily for retrieval and is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
- You are solely responsible for the content of videos you upload. Do not upload content you do not have the right to process.
7. API Usage
- API access is subject to rate limits (currently 3 requests per 60 seconds per IP, 10 requests per 60 seconds per user). These limits may change.
- We may suspend or revoke API keys that are used in violation of these terms or that generate excessive load.
- The API is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee specific uptime, response times, or processing speeds.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, analysis frameworks, and prompts, is the intellectual property of Skylift Marketing. The text output generated from your videos belongs to you. Our proprietary analysis frameworks and scoring methodologies are trade secrets and may not be reproduced or reverse-engineered.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that analysis results will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Video analysis is generated by AI and should be treated as supplementary information, not authoritative assessment.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skylift Marketing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data or use. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms. You may delete your account by contacting us. Upon termination, unused credits are forfeited and cannot be refunded.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page.
