1. Overview
VidContext is operated by Skylift Marketing ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We are committed to privacy-first design — your videos are never stored beyond the processing window.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account Data
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address (used for login, password reset, and matching credit purchases)
- Password (hashed — we never store or see your plaintext password)
- Display name (optional)
Account data is stored in our database (hosted on Supabase) and retained until you delete your account.
2.2 Video Files
When you upload a video for analysis:
- The video file is temporarily stored on our server during processing
- The video file is permanently deleted immediately after processing completes or fails
- We do not create copies, backups, or archives of your video files
- Video files are never shared with third parties beyond the processing pipeline
2.3 Analysis Results
The text output from your video analysis is stored temporarily (up to 24 hours) so you can retrieve it. After 24 hours, results are automatically deleted.
2.4 Usage Data
We collect:
- IP address (for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and anonymous usage tracking)
- Number of videos processed and credits used
- API key usage timestamps (when a key was last used, not what it was used for)
- File sizes and processing durations (for billing and system monitoring)
We do not track which pages you visit, your browser fingerprint, or your behavior on our website. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
2.5 Payment Data
Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. We receive your email address and order details (amount, order number) via webhook. We do not receive or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment card details. LemonSqueezy handles all payment processing. 3. How We Use Your Data
- Video processing: Your video is sent to Google Gemini for AI-powered analysis. Google processes the video according to their own data handling policies. The video is deleted from Google's servers within 48 hours (or immediately when we request deletion after processing).
- Account management: Your email is used for login, password reset, and to match credit purchases to your account.
- Billing: Credit transactions are recorded to maintain your balance and provide purchase history.
- Abuse prevention: IP addresses are used for rate limiting and to enforce anonymous usage limits.
- Service improvement: Aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (total videos processed, average processing time) may be used to improve the Service.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate VidContext:
We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not use advertising trackers.
5. Data Retention
- Video files: Deleted immediately after processing (typically within seconds)
- Analysis results: Deleted automatically after 24 hours
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account
- Credit transaction history: Retained for the lifetime of your account (for billing records)
- Rate limit and usage logs: Automatically purged after 30 days
- API key records: Retained until account deletion (key hashes only — we never store the full key)
6. Data Security
We take the following measures to protect your data:
- All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Passwords are hashed (never stored in plaintext)
- API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes (the original key cannot be recovered)
- Credit operations use atomic database transactions to prevent manipulation
- Webhook payloads are verified with HMAC-SHA256 signatures
- Rate limiting protects against abuse and denial-of-service
- Security headers (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options) are enforced on all pages
No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to support@vidcontext.com.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your credit transaction history
- Revoke your API keys at any time

8. Children
VidContext is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page with the revision date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
